Teachers Conference on Education for Sustainable Development in the Baltic Sea region.

SWEDESD are co-organizing a conference on Education for Sustainable Development in Rogów, Poland 23-26 October 2016. The event will gather participants at universities and other institutes of higher learning throughout the Baltic Sea region.

”BUP Teachers Conference on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) - Engaging higher education in local and global challenges” will be concentrated around the implications on climate change and on a general course content and learning methods in university education for the future we want. Climate change will evidently have consequences on all societal sectors, all over the world and therefore needs to be dealt with from multidimensional perspectives, supporting local and global solutions.

The conference is organized by the Finnish and Polish centres in the Baltic University Programme (BUP) -  a network of more than 190 universities and other institutes of higher learning throughout the Baltic Sea region. The network is coordinated by the Baltic University Programme Secretariat at Uppsala University. This year BUP celebrates its 25th year anniversary.

The deadline for applications is the 30th of September 2016.
