Science Education for Action and Engagement towards Sustainability (SEAS)

This EU financed project is built around ‘open schooling’ which means that schools collaborate with local authorities, organizations and businesses in bringing students into real learning situations.

The overall aims of SEAS are to identify core principles and best practices required for creating and sustaining open schooling collaborations, and to promote scientific literacies and skills necessary to engage in addressing real-life, complex sustainability challenges.

SWEDESD is mainly contributing to his project by providing insights from the collaboration with Polhemskolan on Gotland, Sweden, and in the theoretical concept development. The project is a collaboration between six open schooling networks in Austria, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and the UK.
