SWEDESD facilitated ESD course for university teachers in the Baltic region

The second workshop within the Baltic University Programme (BUP) Teachers Course on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Higher Education was held this week from 26-28 February at the Technical University in Riga, Latvia.

The BUP ESD Course has been designed to support the implementation of the UNESCO Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD in the Baltic region and university teachers, educators and researchers in responding to the Sustainable Development Goals.

In Riga, 22 participants from Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech republic and Poland were invited to evaluate their Change Project that they have been developing in their home university. The aim was to identify what values that have been created and plan for future activities with the ambition to scale for larger impact.

The workshop was the second out of two face-to-face events within the BUP ESD Course which is a partnership project between SWEDESD and Åbo Akademi, Finland.
