Vietnam Sustainability Forum 2019

SWEDESD, together with Uppsala University Regional Representative Office in Vietnam and the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts are organizing Vietnam Sustainability Forum 2019 (VSF-2019) in Hanoi 17-18 January.

The aim of the conference is to provide a space for global leaders and stakeholders to present and discuss worldwide initiatives, practices and visionary trends about sustainability. The ultimate goal is to achieve the long-lasting development of an inclusive and equitable society where prosperous growth goes together with sustainable environment. The VSF-2019 will put an emphasis on discussing the pathways and the implementation of Vietnam’s sustainability policies as well as the exchange of experiences and the policy coordination at the international level.

The conference will address a number of key sustainability topics, including Education and Training Strategies for Sustainable Development; Climate Change Management and Policy, Sustainable Environment; Industry 4.0 and Human Capital Development; Social Dimensions of Climate Change.

SWEDESD is part of the Organising Committee for the Forum and invited to give keynote speech with a focus on integration of sustainability in higher education, and the equity perspective in climate change adaptation and water governance respectively. SWEDESD’s aim is to strengthen collaboration on research and education for sustainable development with a variety of partners in Vietnam as well as in the Mekong region.
